Review of S azov in Rusistika Autumn 2004, No.29, p.30
by Andrew Jameson (Reviews Editor)

This impressive and professional looking course is designed for the ab initio teaching of Russian to undergraduate students. It conforms to current good practice in textbook writing and uses authentic, up-to-date materials and effective illustrations. Chapters 1-10 only (of 20) have word-stress. The contents page states clearly which competences (a mixture of functions and topics) and which grammar points are covered in each lesson. Exercises are interactive and include memory games, crosswords, gap-filling and role plays. An excellent course worthy of your attention.
